including fine motor skills, gross motor skills, communication and language skills, sensory integration and behavior skills, feeding and swallowing or any other skill a child may be having difficulty within their development. We provide highly educated and licensed pediatric Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Applied Behavior Therapists and a Mental Health Counselor to assist with any areas of concern you may have for your child.

Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the practice of applying the psychological principles of learning theory in a systematic way to alter behavior. The practice of Applied Behavior Analysis is used extensively in education, healthcare and business management. It is widely used and accepted in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Applied Behavior Analysis is one of the only scientific and empirically validated treatment available.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy works to restore, maintain and promote optimal physical function. PT’s work to prevent the onset, symptoms and progression of impairments, functional limitations and disabilities. PT’s work to improve a child’s gross motor skills (everyday activities that use the body’s large muscle groups) which allow the child to reach their full functional potential and highest level of independence. Our physical therapists work to help children develop the independence and safety necessary to successfully participate in their environments. Our goal is to make the most of each child’s abilities, as opposed to focusing on their disabilities.

Occupational Therapy

The need for occupational therapy often arises as a result of a disability or a sensory processing disorder. If you notice that your child has trouble completing age-appropriate tasks such as buttoning his shirt, tracing letters or picking up bite-sized pieces of food then occupational therapy might be necessary. A visit to an Occupational Therapist might also be in order if you notice such sensory issues as sensitivity to sounds, smells, tastes, or textures; seeming to be easily distracted or over- or under-stimulated; or social anxiety and an inability to connect with his peers in an age-appropriate way.

Speech Language Therapy

Speech-language therapy is the treatment for childhood speech and/or language disorders. A speech disorder refers to a problem with the actual production of sounds, whereas a language disorder refers to a difficulty understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas. Therapists use a variety of intervention approaches. Speech Language Pathologists also address feeding and swallowing disorders.

Mental Health Counseling

Mental health counseling works to help restore a state of well-being and provide the tools in order to cope with various struggles that life can bring. Having someone else to talk to other than a family member can provide a sense of comfort especially when dealing with emotional distress. Counselors will work closely with the clients and their parents/ guardians in order to provide the best possible tools in order to be able to create a plan for success in order to ameliorate this emotional distress or behavior problems. This would include but is not limited to, behavior modification, de-escalation techniques, and school success. Counselors will also work with parents for parent training in order to continue the treatment plan while in the home. The ultimate goal of counseling is to establish mental equilibrium in order to live the best life possible.

"Over the years, these therapists have not just served as teachers and strengtheners and stretchers of body parts; they've served as mentors, encouragers and stretchers of souls. They've poured into and invested in our kiddos like their very own and developed relationships with them that extend beyond the clinic or the gym."
